Information and Technology Training Specialist Group

The objectives of the group include:
a. to raise awareness and knowledge amongst BCS members of training issues, opportunities, and best practices and the role of the Institute of IT Training (IITT).
b. provide a focus for BCS members involved in training (technical and non-technical). This will include both full-time trainers and those subject-matter experts responsible for training as part of their role, especially if their role is on an ad-hoc basis.
c. ensure that BCS non-trainer members may be well informed and understand the issues and best practices associated with training and the role of IT trainers in IT implementation, projects and the overall business of IT.
d. to provide a means through which the BCS can become an active participant in the field of IT training via the IITT.
e. to raise the profile of IT trainers and attract IT professionals in the commercial IT training industry to membership of the BCS and/or the IITT.
